What is Harry Potter Book Day?
Harry Potter Book Day is a chance for fans around the globe to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s much loved series with events, parties and other festivities. Harry Potter publisher Bloomsbury create a special free, downloadable event kit, jam-packed with more decoration, food, costume, activity and game ideas than you can shake a wand at!
You can use the event kit or create your own magical activities for the day.
What’s the theme?
FRIENDS AND FOES is the theme for this year’s celebrations. The wizarding world is full of opportunities to make the greatest of friends, which includes our favourite trio Harry, Ron and Hermione, and face down the deadliest foes (stay away Death Eaters!). The event kit will be packed full of creative and exciting activities that celebrate the deep friendships and explore the dark feuds that are in the Harry Potter books.
Who can take part?
Everyone! Whether you are a bookshop, library, school or group of friends who want to celebrate, the event kit has activities for readers of all ages and is suitable for lifelong superfans to young readers just beginning their Harry Potter journey.
